WARREN, Pa. – Cochranton’s Maggie Jackson and Coudersport’s Sierra Myers are the Week 6 2023 TapNPay+ District 10 and District 9 Volleyball Player of the Week.
Jackson led the Cardinals to a 3-0 week that included an impressive 3-2 win over Meadville on Monday, Oct. 2, by recording 8.25 set assists per set during the week. She had 43 set assists in the win over Meadville then followed that up with 21 in a 3-0 sweep of Tidioute Charter Tuesday before finishing her week with 35 set assists in a 3-1 win over Eisenhower Thursday.
Myers, meanwhile, had a monster week averaging 5.5 kills per set. Among her 60 kills during the week was an incredible 31-kill performance in a 3-2 win at Oswayo Valley Wednesday that put the Lady Falcons on the verge of the NTL title. She also had six blocks and four digs in that victory.
Myers started her week with a 16-kill, 7-dig performance in a 3-0 win over Northern Potter Monday and finished it with a 13-kill, 5-dig, 8-block effort in a 3-0 win over Cameron County Thursday.
