Clearfield’s MacDonald, Charles Win D9 Diving Titles

HYDE, Pa. – Clearfield’s Keegan MacDonald and Rylee Charles took home District 9 diving titles Friday night at Clearfield High School.

MacDonald, a freshman, beat out three other Clearfield divers for the title by scoring 398.85 points. Justin Hand was second with 334.6 points, Nick Unch was third with 296.5, and Corbin Turner was fourth with 281.05 points.

Charles, also a freshman, beat out Sydney Rodgers of Bradford for the title in girls’ diving. Charles scored 282.05 points with Rodgers scoring 254.25. They were the only two contestants.

The swimming portion of the District 9 Swimming and Diving Championships gets underway Saturday at Clearfield.
