GROVE CITY, Pa. – Junior pitcher and Clarion High School grad Kaitlyn Constantino yielded only one hit in the nightcap as she recorded her second career shutout for Grove City College, which split a doubleheader with Bethany, winning the second game 8-0 and falling in the first game, 4-1.

Constantino needed only 42 pitches to complete the five-inning win.

Junior catcher Emily Smyth (Lititz, Pa./Manheim Township) doubled for the Wolverines while Harris finished 2 for 2. Linhart went 2 for 3 in Game Two.

MEADVILLE, Pa. – Mark Schweickert struck out nine and allowed just one unearned run in 6 2/3 innings to lead Allegheny to a 7-3 win over Penn State Behrend.

Schweickert did walk four and surrendered seven hits, but was able to dance out of trouble to earn his first collegiate win on 109 total pitches.

The Gators tallied runs in the first, second, and sixth innings, and carried a 3-1 lead into the seventh-inning stretch. In the bottom of the seventh, however, Allegheny put a crooked number on the scoreboard and took a comfortable 7-1 advantage.
