Clarion Co. YMCA/YLD Sports Network All-Star Game Drafts Live Sunday, March 19

WARREN, Pa. – The player drafts for the third annual Clarion County YMCA/YDL Sports Network annual basketball All-Star games will be live Sunday, March 19.

The girls’ draft will be held at 7:30 p.m. followed by the boys’ draft at 8:30 p.m. The draft can be viewed at D9and10Sports.com and all of the YDL Sports Network social media channels.

Team captains picking the teams will be Alivia Huffman of Redbank Valley and Katie Sheeler of Otto-Eldred on the girls’ side and Clayton Cook of Brookville and Aiden Hartle of North Clarion.

The games will take place Sunday, April 2, at the Clarion County YMCA. The girls’ game is set for 2 p.m. followed by the boys’ game at 3:45 p.m. The games are open to the public and will also be live-streamed on the YDL Sports Network/D9and10Sports.com.

Players were chosen from District 9 and selected District 10 schools including Warren, Eisenhower, Youngsville, Oil City, Franklin, Rocky Grove, Titusville, Cambridge Springs, Maplewood, and Saegertown (with the hopes of adding more District 10 schools in the future).

                                      

In last year’s girls’ game Team Buttery beat Team Ruhlman, 79-64, with Coudersport’s Liz Frame named the game’s MVP, while in the boys’ game Team Ruhlman beat Team Srock, 100-86, with Warren’s J.T. Blum named the MVP.

The inaugural game in 2021 games saw the White Team beat the Blue Team, 77-69, in girls’ action with Keystone’s Emily Lauer named the game’s MVP, while The Blue Team beat the White Team, 116-107, in the boys’ contest with Brookville’s Jace Minor named the MVP.
