Clarion, Brookville, Prep, Grove City Boys all Collect Wins Powered by Hunter Station Golf Club

   

BUTLER, Pa. – Another KSAC Mega Match, another win for Kameron Kerle and Clarion, this one at Aubrey’s Dubbs Dred Golf Course.

Kerle shot a 38 to earn medalist honors and the Bobcats’ 210 team score was 22 strokes better than second-place Cranberry.

Jacob Felsing of Moniteau had the other sub-40 round with a 39, while Clarion’s Lukas Mitrosky shot a 41 and Clarion’s McKayla Kerle and Cranberry’s Dave Wenner tied four fourth with 42s.

The Bobcats now have 18 points in the season team standings, followed by Cranberry at 16.

BROOKVILLE TOPS CURWENSVILLE

BROOKVILLE, Pa. – Killian Radel shot a 41 to lead all golfers as Brookville easily outdistanced Curwensville, 189-251 at Pinecrest Country Club.

Bryce Rafferty shot a 44 for the Raiders.

D10 REGION 6 MEGA MATCH

NORTH EAST, PA. – Cathedral Prep (321) outdistanced McDowell (326) by five shots to claim the second Region 6 Mega Match of the season at Green Meadows Golf Course.

Prep’s Breckin Taylor and Erie’s Kyle Westfall tied for the low round with 76s. Prep’s Alex Vahey (77) and McDowell’s John Feretti (78) had the other rounds under 80. McDowell’s Ricky Gladden shot an 81 and Prep’s Trey Thompson, Erie’s Eli Nicklas and Harbor Creek’s Nick Simon all had 82s.

Erie finished third in the team standings at 337, followed immediately by Meadville just one stroke behind.

GROVE CITY WINS TRI-MATCH

RENO, Pa. – Grove City had a team score of 343, led by Toby Matson’s 78 to take first-place in a Tri-Match with Franklin and Titusville at Wanango.

Franklin’s Aidan McCracken had the low individual round with a 76, with Grove City’s Logan Goodrich (88), Tyler Hamilton (88), Ethan Cunningham (89) and Trent Nemec having the next lowest rounds.

Kasen Neely shot a 93 to lead Titusville.

GIRLS
CURWENSVILLE GOES 3-2

CURWENSVILLE, Pa. – Curwensville went 3-2 on the day against Brockway, Brookville, DuBois, Punxsutawney and DuBois at Eagles Ridge Golf Course.

The Golden Tide finished with a team score of 242, besting Brockway (247), Brookville (246) and Ridgway (243).

DuBois had a team score of 193 and Punxsutawney a 212.

Alexas Pfeuffer had a 46 to lead all golfers, followed by teammates Sophia Seduski and Izzy Geist-Salone with 48s.

The other sub-50 scores belonged to Brockway’s Sara Werner and Punxsutawney’s Mauve Hadley and Kiersten Riley, who each shot 49s.
