Central Clarion’s German Named Week Five District 9 Jim Kelly Player of the Week Powered by the Allegheny Grille

WARREN, Pa. – Helping to rally his team from a 20-point deficit in the fourth quarter, Central Clarion County’s Cal German is the Week Five Jim Kelly District 9 Football Player of the Week Powered by the Allegheny Grille.

The Wildcats trailed at rival Karns City, 35-15, going to the fourth quarter but won the game, 43-41.

German, who threw a touchdown pass during the comeback, was 19 of 41 passing for 276 yards with four touchdowns and an interception. He also ran for 22 yards on four carries.

Jim Kelly is the Hall of Fame quarterback of the Buffalo Bills who grew up in East Brady, Pa. and went to Miami (Fla). Kelly was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2002 after passing for over 45,000 yards as a pro, including two seasons in the USFL, with 320 career touchdown passes. He led the Bills to four straight AFC Titles.
