Cameron County’s Baughman Named Week One 2021 District 9 Jim Kelly POW Powered by the Allegheny Grille

WARREN, Pa. – Cameron County’s Maddox Baughman is the Week One 2021 District 9 Jim Kelly Football Player of the Week powered by the Allegheny Grille of Foxburg.

Baughman rallied the Red Raiders to their first win since 2018 thanks to a come-from-behind 28-27 victory at Coudersport Friday, Aug. 27.

The sophomore was 11 of 23 for 195 yards, four touchdowns, and two interceptions including a pair of touchdown passes in the final five minutes to help Cameron County overcome a late 27-14 deficit.

Jim Kelly is the Hall of Fame quarterback of the Buffalo Bills who grew up in East Brady, Pa. and went to Miami (Fla). Kelly was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2002 after passing for over 45,000 yards as a pro, including two seasons in the USFL, with 320 career touchdown passes. He led the Bills to four straight AFC Titles. Kelly’s name on the award is being used with his permission.
