Cambridge Springs High School, Athletics Shut Down Until Sept. 14

   

CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS, Pa. – Penncrest School District superintendent Dr. Timothy Glasspool announced on Thursday that Cambridge Springs Jr/Sr High School will be shut down until Tuesday, Sept. 14, due to a rising number of COVID-19 cases.

The district currently has ten known active COVID-19 cases and 62 students absent due to quarantine, per a district release.

“At this time, a school closure is necessary,” Glasspool said in the release. “Cambridge Springs Jr/Sr High School is closed until Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2021. All athletic practices and games (home and away) are postponed. CSHS athletics are shut down until Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2021. All games and practices for today, Sept. 9, 2021 are canceled.”

Sports impacted include football, soccer, volleyball, cross country and cheerleading.
