DUBOIS, Pa. – Mia Meholick went 3-for-4 with a home run, a double, and two RBIs to lead DuBois Central Catholic to a 12-2, five-inning win over Clarion-Limestone in the District 9 Class 1A softball title game Monday afternoon at Heindl Field in DuBois.
It is the second straight D9 1A title for DCC, which won in 2019 as well, and the fifth title since 2014 for the Lady Cardinals.
DCC used an 8-run second inning to take complete control of the game.
Morgan Tyler pitched a great game for the Lady Cardinals going five innings allowing two runs, one earned, on five hits and a walk while striking out 10.
