Aug. 31, 2022 D9/10 Soccer: Port Allegany, NoPo boys, Eisenhower, DuBois Girls Earn Wins

PORT ALLEGANY, Pa. – Justin Dunn had a pair of goals, including the game-winner with two minutes left to send Port Allegany to a 3-2 win over Elk County Catholic.

Jarod Funk also scored for Port, while Austin Hamilton had two assists.

Aidan Clark had six stops in net for the Gators.

Anthony Messineo and Bobby Urmann scored for ECC, while Ryan Jovenitti had four stops.

            

NORTHERN POTTER 4, KANE 3, OT

KANE, Pa. – Ty Daniels’ second goal of the game was the overtime winner as Northern Potter beat Kane, 4-3.

Marc Kicklighter and Noah Cady also found the back of the net for the Panthers.

Ethan Illberbrun, Aaron Mishic and Tysin Boschert scored for Kane.

Malachi Lewis had 16 stops for NoPo and Chase Hultman 14 for Kane.

                          

DUBOIS 2, BRADFORD 0

DUBOIS, Pa. – Thai Tran and Issac Brigger both found the back of the net as DuBois earned a 2-0 win over Bradford.

COUDERSPORT 2, RIDGWAY 1

COUDERSPORT, Pa. – Micah Batson and Nash Delp both scored to help send Coudersport to a 2-1 win over Ridgway.

Batson was assisted by Drew VanWhy and Delp, while Delp was assisted by Baston and Hootfallen.

Ridgway scored on a penalty kick in the second half.

Braidyn Rumsey had seven stops in net for the Falcons.

SENECA 4, FAIRVIEW 0

WATTSBURG, Pa. – Four different Seneca players scored in a 4-0 win over Fairview.

Lee Hoover, Liam Pikiewicz, Reed Yost, and Lucas Hoffman scored for the Bobcats.

                        

WILMINGTON 6, FORT LEBOEUF 1

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – Joe Saterlee scored two goals as Wilmington topped Fort LeBoeuf, 6-1.

Jake Wilson, Maddox Reader, Colin Hill, and Ryder Tervo also scored for Wilmington

HICKORY 9, WEST MIDDLESEX 0

HERMITAGE, Pa. – Lukas Jones had three goals and four assists to lead Hickory to a 9-0 win over West Middlesex.

         

Gio Rossi and Logan Gordon had two goals each, while Kory Semanco and Eric McCrimmon also found the back of the net.

Matt Maitland and Connor Storyer combined on the shutout in net.

GIRLS
DUBOIS 4, BRADFORD 1

BRADFORD, Pa. – Rachel Sickeri recorded a hat trick as DuBois broke a 1-1 halftime tie for a 4-1 win over Bradford.

Bradford’s Maddi Cowburn reached a milestone, recording her 100th career goal in the first half.

EISENHOWER 2, KANE 1

RUSSELL, Pa. – Emily Grosch’s goal five minutes into the second half proved to be the difference as Eisenhower beat Kane, 2-1.

Katie Bunk scored in the first half, also an assist from Clara Steinberg, who had two assists in the game.

Jillian Watts scored in the first half for Kane.

MCDOWELL 4, NICHOLS SCHOOL 3

ERIE, Pa. – Abby Faulhaber scored a pair of goals to help McDowell to a 4-3 win over Nichols (Buffalo).

Hannah Shepard and Jenna Ellsworth also scored for McDowell.
