SAEGERTOWN 16, EISENHOWER 0, 6 innings

RUSSELL, Pa. – Saegertown scored 12 runs in the sixth inning to earn a 16-0 win over Eisenhower.

Landon Caldwell tossed five shutout innings and Henry Shaffer and Dylan Flinchbaugh drove in three runs each.

The Panthers also took advantage of seven Eisenhower errors.

   

                  

Caldwell allowed just two hits in his five innings of work, striking out six and walking one. Chandler Davison tossed a scoreless inning of relief to close out the game.

Shaffer had four of Saegertown’s 10 hits, while Dusty Nearhoof was 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBIs.

Cole Chapman got the start for Eisenhower, allowing two runs in 2 ⅓ innings, allowing two hits, and striking out one.

CATHEDRAL PREP 17, TREVOR BROWNE (Ariz.) 5, 5 innings

GOODYEAR, Ariz. – Cathedral Prep continued to have success on its Arizona trip, pounding out 17 hits in a 17-5 win over Trevor Browne (Ariz.).

                          

The Ramblers scored at least three runs in every inning, including five in the first and five in the fourth.

Four of the top five hitters in the Rambler lineup connected multiple hits, with Luke Costello leading the way, going 2-for-4 with a home run, four RBIs and three runs.

Reece Colvin was 3-for-3 with four runs, Cole Constable was 2-for-3 with runs and an RBI, and Patrick Sullivan was 2-for-2 with two RBIs.

Tai Hopkins got the win, going 2 ⅔ innings allowing three runs on four hits with four strikeouts and one walk.

               

MERCYHURST PREP 10, ERIE 6

ERIE, Pa. – A three-run fifth inning helped lift Mercyhurst Prep to a 10-6 win over Erie.

Bryce Schueth was 2-for-2 with a double, two RBIs, and two runs, while Josh Majczyk was 2-for-3 with two runs.

Ryan Gates got the win, tossing 3 ⅓ scoreless innings, allowing just two hits, and striking out four.

Chris Ramos took the loss for Erie, allowing five runs in four innings, striking out five, and walking four.

Jose Quinones went 3-for-4 with a double, RBI, and run scored for the Royals.




SOFTBALL

HICKORY 16, OIL CITY 1, 4 innings

HERMITAGE, Pa. – Layla McClung and Kaelyn Fustos drove in three runs apiece as Hickory earned a 16-1 win over Oil City.

            

Loren Myers got the win in the circle, allowing one run in three innings on three hits, striking out five, and walking two.

Hallie Miller was 3-for-3 with three runs, while Kaitlyn Gilliand was 2-for-2 with an RBI.
