ERIE – McDowell improved to 4-1 with a 25-9, 25-16 and 25-9 sweep of Erie First Christian Thursday.
Nate Hayes posted a double-double for the Trojans with 19 assists and 12 aces. He also had 8 kills. Andrew Geisler had 9 kills and Daniel Easly and Nick Malina each had 7 digs in the win.
Josh Wingenbach led Erie First with 9 assists, while Octavian Sherry and Gino Barrett had 4 kills each and David Bahm had 3 blocks.

Cochranton picked up a 25-8, 25-16 and 25-14 win against Cathedral Prep.
Hewson Morphy had one kill and two blocks for the Ramblers, while Gavin Irons had one kill, one dig and one ace.
