SOFTBALL

KARNS CITY, Pa. – Rossi McMillen’s fielder’s choice scored Madison Gibson, as Karns City spoiled another otherworldly performance from Keystone’s Natalie Bowser with an 8-7 walk-off win over the visiting Lady Panthers.

Even when Karns City elected not to pitch to Bowser in the top of the seventh leading by four with two outs and two on, it backfield when Leah Exley smashed a grand slam over the center-field fence to tie the game.

But the Lady Gremlins got their revenge in the bottom of the inning when Marra Patton reached on an error leading off the inning with Gibson running for her. Ava Fox then singled, and each runner moved up on another error setting up McMillen for the heroics.

Exley went 1-for-2 with a walk, the grand slam, a run scored, and four RBIs.
