VILLA MARIA 8, WARREN 7, 10 INNINGS
ERIE – When Warren and Villa played each other in the season-opener on April 5 at Warren, the Dragons came away with a walk-off win.

The Victors returned the favor in Erie on Saturday, and handed Warren its first loss of the season, with an 8-7, 10 inning victory.

With one out and the bases loaded in the bottom of the 10th, Lilli Beuchert roped a ground ball to short. Katie Madigan threw home but Megan Kelly was able to cross the plate ahead of the throw for the win.

Villa’s Maddie Simmerman had a big day at the plate as she went 4-4 with a double, a home run, and four RBIs. Hayley Dever added three hits and scored twice, while Jenna Wagner had two hits, including a double and drove in a pair.

               

Wagner picked up the win in the circle allowing seven runs, all earned, on 16 hits in 10 innings. She didn’t issue a walk and struck out 11.

Halle Kuzminski had four hits and four RBIs for the Dragons, with Alix Lytle and Alana Stuart adding three hits each. Lytle drove in a pair and Stuart scored three runs.

Stuart took the loss as she allowed eight runs, three earned, on 12 hits in 9 ⅓ innings. She walked five and struck out 12.

CONNEAUT (Pa.) 5, MCDOWELL 4

LINESVILLE, Pa. – Trailing 3-2, Conneaut scored three runs in the fifth inning on its way to a 5-4 win over McDowell.

                          

In the fifth, Linda Shepard and Eliza Harrington delivered back-to-back RBI doubles, which was followed by an RBI single off the bat of Ashlee Barabas.

Shepard was 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBIs, while Barabas was 3-for-3 and Wise 2-for-3.

Erika Shrock got the win, allowing three earned runs in seven innings on just four hits while striking out nine.

Lexxie Biel homered and drove in a pair of runs for McDowell, while Katie Enzbrenner and Haley Sissem also drove in runs for the Trojans.

Gabby DeLuca took the loss, allowing four runs (two earned) in four innings on eight hits, striking out five.

               

NORTHWESTERN 11, CONNEAUT (OHIO) 8
CONNEAUT, Ohio – A 7-run seventh inning gave Northwestern an 11-8 comeback win at Conneaut (Ohio).

The Wildcats entered the final inning trailing, 8-4 before the offense erupted for seven hits, including five doubles, and seven runs to take an 11-8 lead. The Spartans got a leadoff single to start the home half of the inning, but Jessica Gage got a pair of strikeouts before getting a fly out to end it.

Alex Kuhn and Holly Stafford each had two hits and two RBIs. Tina Kerr was 3-3 with three runs scored, and Madison Adams had four hits and scored twice. Makenna Gordon drove in a pair.

Gordon picked up the win allowing one earned run on two hits with three walks and 10 strikeouts in four innings. Gage gave up seven earned runs on nine hits with two walks and three strikeouts in three innings.

Devyn Zappitelli had two hits and two RBIs for the Spartans.

HARBOR CREEK 17, IROQUOIS 1, 3 INNINGS

HARBORCREEK, Pa. – Harbor Creek scored 14 runs in the second inning in a 17-1, three-inning win over Iroquois.

Reagan Rand led an 11-hit attack for the Huskies, going 2-for-3 with two doubles with four RBIs, while Rylee Vogt was 2-for-3 with three RBIs and Bailee Bleil was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a run scored.

Rachel Holmes got the win, allowing one run and striking out three.

            

FRANKLIN 12, SHARON 0, 5 INNINGS
SHARON, Pa. – Gabrielle Laderer hit three home runs, including two in an 8-run third inning, to lead Franklin to a 12-0, 5-inning win at Sharon.

Laderer drove in four runs for the undefeated Lady Knights. Sydni Hoobler had a pair of hits and three RBIs, with Gabriella Wimer driving in a pair.

Trinity Edge got the win allowing just one hit and two walks with eight strikeouts in five innings.

Claire Bodien took the loss allowing 12 runs, 11 earned, on 16 hits, with no walks and six strikeouts.

CORRY 11, SLIPPERY ROCK 1, 5 INNINGS
CORRY, Pa. – Corry scored five runs in the fourth inning to put the game away in an 11-1 win over visiting Slippery Rock.

The Beavers struck for three runs each in the first and third innings. The Rockets put their lone run on the board in the top of the fifth, but couldn’t get another across to extend the game.

Alli Goodwill, Kiran Bugbee, and Reghan Trask had two RBIs each. Kayla Hayes scored three runs.

Dyne got the win allowing one unearned run on one hit in five innings. She didn’t issue a walk and struck out five.

Cianna D’Antoni had the loss allowing 11 runs, eight earned, on six hits, with four walks, and three strikeouts in four innings.

FAIRVIEW 21, MERCYHURST PREP 1, 3 INNINGS
FAIRVIEW, Pa. – Fairview scored 14 runs in the first on its way to a 21-1, 3-inning win over visiting Mercyhurst Prep.

Emma DiStefano had two hits and four RBIs to lead the Tigers’ attack. Leeanna Loomis, Gabi Ramm, and Brianna Price drove in three runs each.

Cami Munson got the win allowing one earned run on two hits, with four walks and two strikeouts. Hailey Komisarski didn’t allow a hit, walked one, and struck out two in a scoreless inning.

NORTH EAST 10, GIRARD 0
GIRARD, Pa. – North East put up multiple runs in the second, fourth, and seventh innings in a 10-0 win at Girard.

Julianna Coletta and Miranda Shafer each had a hit and two RBIs, while Alex Cozzens had two hits and scored twice.

Cozzens picked up the win allowing three hits and four walks while striking out 17.

Aislynn Parsons took the loss giving up seven runs, five earned, on nine hits and a walk, with three strikeouts.

GROVE CITY 15, OIL CITY 5, 6 INNINGS
GROVE CITY, Pa. – Grove City and Oil City combined to score 10 runs in the fifth inning, but it was the Eagles who came away with a 15-5, 6-inning win over the Oilers.

Grove City had a 6-1 lead through four innings, but Oil City struck for four runs in the top of the fifth to make it a one-run game at 6-5. The Eagles answered with six runs of their own in the home half of the inning, then tacked on three more in the sixth to put the game away.

Cana Severson had two hits and three RBIs and Jordan Filer had three hits and two RBIs in the win. Abby Geiger had a pair of hits, including a solo home run, while Courtney Saylor, Logan Jones, and Rylie Eaton each drove in a pair.

Jones nabbed the win allowing five runs, one earned, on seven hits, with two walks, and three strikeouts.

Maddie Marczak hit a solo home run and a 2-run double for the Oilers.

Nyssa Hanion gave up 15 runs, four earned, on 13 hits, with four walks, and three strikeouts.

REYNOLDS 14, LAKEVIEW 1, 5 INNINGS
STONEBORO, Pa. – Halyn Cawthorne and Kaylee Diefenderfer each had four hits and Mackenzine Herman hit a 3-run homer as Reynolds topped Lakeview, 14-1, in five innings.

Herman’s home run was part of an 8-run first for the Raiders. She also doubled and scored three times. Cawthorne doubled and homered as part of a 4-hit, 2-RBI day at the plate. Marissa Hillyer doubled and had three RBIs.

Cawthorne got the win allowing one earned run on four hits, with two walks, and seven strikeouts.

JAMESTOWN 10, HICKORY 0, 5 INNINGS
JAMESTOWN, Pa. – Liz Kammerdiner homered as part of a 6-run third inning as Jamestown shut out visiting Hickory, 10-0, in five innings.

Kammerdiner’s 2-run jack in the third was part of a 2-hit, 4-RBI day at the plate, and was the only extra base hit for the Muskies. Leona Brown had three hits and drove in a pair, and Morgan Bercis had two hits and scored two runs.

Miranda Biles pitched the shut out allowing just two hits, with no walks, and four strikeouts.

SHARPSVILLE 21, FARRELL 1
FARRELL, Pa. – Sharpsville scored nine in the first and 12 in the second in a 21-1, 3-inning win at Farrell.

Avery McFeaters had three hits and drove in four, while Allison White and Paige Yarian had three RBIs each to lead the offense.

Jordan Brest allowed one earned run on one hit with a walk and two strikeouts.

MERCER 16, KENNEDY CATHOLIC 0, 4 INNINGS
HERMITAGE, Pa. – A 10-run first inning propelled Mercer to a 16-0 win in four innings at Kennedy Catholic.

The Mustangs scored at least once in every inning, and Avry Ryhal’s 2-run homer in the fourth capped the offensive barrage.

Pressley Washil had four RBIs, with Maddie Daris, Ryhal, Phoebe Eakman, and Rhiannon Sines driving in two each.

Sam Gamble was perfect through four innings with three strikeouts.

SAEGERTOWN 11, EISENHOWER 0, 5 INNINGS
SAEGERTOWN, Pa. – Saegertown scored in every inning, including four times in the second and five in the fourth, in an 11-0, 5-inning win over visiting Eisenhower.

Katherine Diesing had two hits and three RBIs, with Rhiannon Paris driving in a pair, and Alyssa Arblaster, Rylie Braymer, and Hailee Gregor knocking two hits each.

Mikaila Obenrader allowed just two hits and struck out 13 in five shutout innings.
