ST. MARYS 10, BROOKVILLE 0, 5 INNINGS

ST. MARYS, Pa. – Kendall Young threw a one-hit shutout recording all 15 of her outs via strikeout and Olivia Eckles drove in three runs to lead St. Marys past visiting Brookville, 10-0, in five innings

Young walked two in getting the win.

Eckles, meanwhile, was 2-for-4 with a double, a triple, and a run scored.

   

                  

Driving in a pair of runs each for the Lady Dutch were Gianna Surra (1for-2 with a double) and Ava Buzard (1-for-2 with a double and a run scored), while Young was also 1-for-2 with a double and a run scored while being hit by a pitch, and Kara Hanslovan was 1-for-2 with double and a run scored while being hit by a pitch.

Megrah Suhan had the lone hit for Brookville, while Natasha Rush took the loss going 4 ⅓ innings allowing 10 runs, six earned, on nine hits, five walks, and two hit batters while striking out two.

COUDERSPORT 16, SMETHPORT 11

COUDERSPORT, Pa. – Scoring multiple runs in each of the first five innings, Coudersport outslugged visiting Smethport, 16-11.

Ava Wahlers and Madyson Dubots-Angood each had two hits for the Lady Falcons, while Makenzie Gentzyel, Dubots-Angood, and Aubri Thompson each drove in two runs.

                          

Dubots-Angood was 2-for-3 with a double, two walks, and two runs scored, while Wahlers was 2-for-4 with a walk, an RBI, and three runs scored.

Gentzyel was 1-for-3 with two walks and three runs scored with Thompson drawing a walk and also scoring twice.

Also for the Lady Falcons, Sierra Myers was 1-for-4 with a walk, an RBI, and two runs scored and Savannah Myers was 1-for-2 with two walks, an RBI, and two runs scored.

Smethport scored its 11 runs on just four hits thanks to two errors, nine walks, and two hit batters.

               

Ryelle Black got the win going seven innings allowing 11 runs, four earned, on four hits, nine walks, and two hit batters.
