A-C Valley graduate Baylee Blauser was named the PSAC Freshman Women’s Indoor Track and Field Freshman of the Year.
Blauser becomes the first SRU female to win the Freshman of the Year award for the indoor season since high jumper Whitney Hendershot earned the honor in 2007-08.
The top rookie award comes after Blauser earned All-Region honors in the long jump and posted the No. 2 mark in the PSAC this winter with her NCAA provisional leap of 5.83 meters. She also ranked eighth in the PSAC in the triple jump this winter with a leap of 11.27 meters and scored points for The Rock in both horizontal jumps at the PSAC Championships.
