2022-23 YDL Sports Network/D9and10Sports Preseason All-District 9 Girls’ Basketball Team Powered By Hunter’s Station Golf Club

WARREN, Pa. – The 2022-23 YDL Sports Network/D9and10Sports District 9 preseason All-District girls’ basketball team powered by Hunter’s Station Golf Club features a talented collection of players including three underclassmen and three seniors.

The team is headlined by a 2022 D9and10Sports All-District 9 Player of the Year Katie Sheeler of Otto-Eldred and Rookie of the Year Mylee Harmon of Redbank Valley as well as four first-team selections.

Sheeler, a senior, averaged 18.4 points, 5.1 steals, 3.2 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game for the D9 Class 1A runner-up who advanced to the PIAA quarterfinals in 2022.

Harmon, a sophomore who was a second-team All-District selection, averaged 12.6 points, 3.2 assists, 2.3 rebounds, and 2.2 steals per game for the D9 Class 3A champions.

                                      

Joining those four are 2022 first-team All-District selections Chloe Presloid of Punxsutawney, Alivia Huffman of Redbank Valley, and Lily Homan now of North Clarion (she played for Venango Catholic last year) and second-team 2022 selection Tori Newton of Elk County Catholic.

Presloid, a junior, averaged 11.2 points, 3.1 steals, and 2.4 assists per game last season.

Huffman, a senior, averaged 13.6 points, 7.8 rebounds, 3.3 steals, 2.8 assists, and 1.7 blocks per contest.

Homan, a junior who was deemed eligible by the District 9 committee for the regular season (postseason eligibility would still need to be appealed to the D9 committee by North Clarion), averaged a D9-leading 20.2 points per game to go with 6.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game.

Newton averaged 8.9 points, 7.9 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 1.3 rebounds per game for the District 9 1A champions.

                          

The Preseason All-District team is chosen by the staff of the YDL Sports Network/D9and10Sports.com.

Hunter’s Station Golf Club is located three miles south of Tionesta on Route 62 and is open from April through October every year.
