Q&A

Q: What was the first sport you played? Why did you play it? Did you like it?
A: The first sport I played was softball. Softball has always had my heart and will forever be a part of my life. I first started playing after I went to my sister’s travel softball game. I fell in love with the sport right than and there.

Q: What is the most important factor in you being successful in high school athletics?
A: I definitely believe the most important factor to me when it comes to athletics is my mental game. In all the sports I play it is very easy to lose focus or mentally get down on yourself. Also having a good support system behind me. People have always believed in me and pushed me to do my best.

Q: What is your favorite non-sports “go-to” activity?
A: Swimming and braiding hair. The second one is kinda unusual but some of my favorite memories are from braiding people’s hair before our games.

Q: You could meet one sports figure, living or dead (1) who would it be and (2) what is the first thing you would ask them?
A: Jocelyn Alo
The reason I picked her is because I have so much respect for her and admire her highly. There was a point in her career where she had to take a step away from the game and be a person again not just a softball player. But as soon as she got back and came out she was on top and I love that about her.

Q: What is your favorite sport and if you could change one thing about your favorite sport, what would it be?
A: My favorite sport is no doubt softball. I’ve been in love with softball since I was 8 when I went to my first tournament and hit my first ever homer run. Softball has always had a special place in my heart and forever will. I wouldn’t change a single thing well maybe one thing. You shouldn’t be allowed to intentionally walk anyone no matter how good they are lol.

Q: If you could eat any food in the world right now, what would it be?
A: I love grilled butter shrimp

Q: What is your ideal vacation spot?
A: I would love to go to Naples beach. It’s always so beautiful when I look at photos and it’s always warm and peaceful.

Q: Is there anything you wish we would have asked you? If so, what is the question/answer?
A: Who are the most influential people in your life? I’d have to say my family is the most influential people in my life. No matter what they are always there helping me with anything they can. But out of all of my family, my dad is the most influential. He has shown me and taught me that the only person standing in the way of me being even more amazing is myself most of the time. He’s also taught me how to be strong no matter what is going on or has happened in life.
