Q&A

Q: What was the first sport you played? Why did you play it? Did you like it?
A: Baseball has been my life since I started walking, the game has given me everything. My family is big on baseball, plenty of relatives have played collegiate baseball, especially my dad at PSU so it just became an interest naturally I guess.

Q: What is the most important factor in you being successful in high school athletics?
A: The biggest factor to being successful in High School sports is having good people around you. It starts with the coaches, motivating and inspiring you to be your best. And then your teammates, forming chemistry and having fun makes the season run smooth.

Q: What is your favorite non-sports “go-to” activity?
A: Fishing/Hunting

Q: You could meet one sports figure, living or dead (1) who would it be and (2) what is the first thing you would ask them?
A: I would love to meet Miguel Cabrera. I would not ask but let him know that he was my hero growing up and the player I was most inspired by.

Q: What is your favorite sport and if you could change one thing about your favorite sport, what would it be?
A: Baseball obviously, wouldn’t change a thing.

Q: If you could eat any food in the world right now, what would it be?
A: Steak

Q: What is your ideal vacation spot?
A: A private island somewhere

Q: Is there anything you wish we would have asked you? If so, what is the question/answer?
A: I wish people would ask me more often who my biggest role models and inspirations for this sport were. I’ve grown up playing this sport my whole life and along this whole journey there are 3 people that have really gotten me to where I am today, and that is my parents, especially my dad. But most importantly, my high school coach, Sid Lansberry. Nobody has done more for the game of baseball than him and he deserves a ton of credit for how I have developed as a player.
