Q&A

Q: What was the first sport you played? Why did you play it? Did you like it?
A: I started playing basketball first. I got to play with my older sister (Shelby) when one of her teammates got hurt and then I just played with her team as a fill-in and I instantly loved the physicality and showing what I can do.

Q: What is the most important factor in you being successful in high school athletics?
A: Just always working hard and pushing myself when I am tired. Working out and trying to get into the gym or on a field as much as possible always helps me.

Q: What is your favorite non-sports “go-to” activity?
A: I love to read and spend time outdoors and I enjoy painting.

Q: You could meet one sports figure, living or dead (1) who would it be and (2) what is the first thing you would ask them?
A: I would want to meet Babe Ruth and see what baseball was like back then and what made him love it.

Q: What is your favorite sport and if you could change one thing about your favorite sport, what would it be?
A: I can’t decide on my favorite sport because they are both so different. I love the physical aspect of basketball and the teamwork it takes to be successful. In softball, you fail more than you succeed so you have to have mental toughness as well as the hard work you have to put into it.

Q: If you could eat any food in the world right now, what would it be?
A: Lobster from Maine

Q: What is your ideal vacation spot?
A: If there’s a beach that’s good for me!
