Q&A

Q: What was the first sport you played? Why did you play it? Did you like it?
A: Baseball, I played it because my older sisters were both doing softball and I had always looked up to them. I instantly loved baseball it was fun and challenging, and it kept me active and in shape.

Q: What is the most important factor in you being successful in high school athletics?
A: Keeping active and working hard in the off-season.l whether that is going to the basketball courts and shooting, playing pick-up, or going to the batting cages

Q: What is your favorite non-sports “go-to” activity?
A: I enjoy hunting and fishing with my family and friends

Q: You could meet one sports figure, living or dead (1) who would it be and (2) what is the first thing you would ask them?
A: Shohei Ohtani, the reason being because he is someone I look up to and I respect his athletic ability and his work ethic a lot. The first thing I would ask him would be “what made you fall in love with your sport and when did you know you could be something special”

Q: What is your favorite sport and if you could change one thing about your favorite sport, what would it be?
A: My favorite sport is basketball. One thing I would change about it would be how draining one game can be no matter how in shape you are after one game you are very winded

Q: If you could eat any food in the world right now, what would it be?
A: A cheeseburger. It has been my favorite food ever since I was young.

Q: What is your ideal vacation spot?
A: I want to visit Colorado. I have always been fascinated by the mountains and that is where my grandmother is from so I think it would be cool to learn about where she grew up.

Q: Is there anything you wish we would have asked you? If so, what is the question/answer?
A: Who is one person that you want to make proud? I aspire to make my late grandfather proud. He was my biggest supporter growing up and never missed any of my games. Although he may no longer be with us I hope I am making him proud and he is smiling down on me.
