2021-22 Highlights: In football, Threw for 2,568 yards. In baseball, hit in the 3-hole all season long, Batted .456 with 41 hits, 37 RBIs, and 29 runs scored while helping DCC to a class 1a state championship. Was D9and10 sports Rookie of the Year in both football and baseball while also earning first-team All-D9 honors in baseball, and Tri-County sports Co-player of the Year in baseball.

Q&A

            

Q: What was the first sport you played? Why did you play it? Did you like it?
A: Baseball was the first sport I played because growing up, my father was in the rangers organization in the minor leagues. So growing up, I was born into baseball. I loved it. It was my life.

Q: What is the most important factor in you being successful in high school athletics?
A: My mindset. Being able to control my emotions and keep the same mentality the whole time. Whether I was being yelled at by the fans or whether I was receiving hate by others.

Q: What is your favorite non-sports “go-to” activity?
A: I love playing the electric guitar in my free time. It’s a really nice hobby and it kind of sets me free from everything.

Q: You could meet one sports figure, living or dead (1) who would it be and (2) what is the first thing you would ask them?
A: I would like to meet Mike Trout and ask him what it takes to become one of the best athletes of all time.

Q: What is your favorite sport and if you could change one thing about your favorite sport, what would it be?
A: Baseball and I wouldn’t change a thing.

Q: If you could eat any food in the world right now, what would it be?
A: Probably some crab legs.

Q: What is your ideal vacation spot?
A: Dubai
