Q&A with Jordan Best

D9and10Sports: Do you plan on playing (or have you committed to playing) sports in college? If you have committed, where?
CB: Yes I plan on playing softball in college. I have not yet committed but I am attending camps in hopes to be committed soon!

D9and10Soprts: How did you first get involved in sports? Did you like it?
JB: My parents signed me up for t-ball and I loved it, I have not looked back since.

D9and10Sports: Who has been your biggest influence in life & why?
JB: My dad. He has been with me and coached me every step of my softball career and he always pushes me to play my best. I wear the number 12 because that was his number in high school and I look up to the athlete he was.

D9and10Sports: What is your favorite high school sports memory?
JB: My favorite sports memory is definitely winning the state championship in volleyball, that will be a moment I’ll never forget.

D9and10Sports: What is your favorite social media platform & why?
JB: Tiktok, the videos are super funny and I never get bored of the app.

D9and10Sports: What would someone who is meeting you for the first time be surprised to find out about you?
JB: I have never watched the movie The Lion King

D9and10Sports: If there was one period in history you could go back to, what would it be & why?
JB: The 70’s, 80’s or 90’s, I love the clothing style from those decades and they seem like they would have been a lot of fun to be a teenager in.

D9and10Sports: What will you tell your kids someday about living through the COVID-19 pandemic?
JB: Never take anything for granted. No one expected to have sports, fans, and school taken away from them, and those are the things we never thought would be taken away. So be grateful for everything you have in the moment.

D9and10Sports: What is your ideal place to live? Country, City, Suburb? Why?
JB: Country, I love being outside, going on four-wheeler rides, and seeing the stars at night. Also, the city is way too busy for me and people are rude there.

D9and10Sports: Is there anything you wish we would have asked you? If so, what is the answer?
JB: Why do I play sports? I play sports because I love the relationships it brings me with people, they take my mind off of any stress and I love being active. I couldn’t imagine a life without playing sports.
