Q&A With Jefferson Freeburg

            

D9and10Sports: How did you first get involved in sports and did you like it?
A: Grew up watching pro teams – and my brother – and I really wanted to play. Yes, I’ve always liked baseball and basketball.

D9and10Sports: Who has been your biggest influence in life and why?
A: My parents and brother – they raised me to be who I am – they taught me to respect myself, my family and community – and to challenge myself and always work hard at whatever I do.

D9and10Sports: What is your favorite high school sports memory?
A: Winning the D-9 championship this year in baseball.

D9and10Sports: What is your favorite social media platform and why?
A: Snapchat – I can talk with my friends whenever I want.

D9and10Sports: What would someone who is meeting you for the first time be surprised to find out about you?
A: That I have been working since I turned 14.

D9and10Sports: If there was one period in history you could go back to, what would it be and why?
A: No specific time period, but a specific year – 2018 – when I was on the Elk-McKean all-star team that went to the Junior Little League World Series – and this time win it!

D9and10Sports: What will you tell your kids someday about living through the COVID-19 pandemic?
A: I would say it was difficult.

D9and10Sports: What is your ideal place to live? Country, City, Suburb and why?
A: My ideal place is right where I live now – I love the area I live in.

D9and10Sports: Is there anything you wish we would have asked you? If so, what is the answer?
A: What are my goals for my senior year? Maintaining my grades – and winning a D-9 championship in both baseball and basketball – and possibly a state championship in baseball.
