2020-21 Highlights: First 20 win season in school history (20-4). First District 10 Title, First time in school history to make it to the PIAA Elite Eight. Averaged 13 ppg while shooting 85% from the line
Awards: First team D9 and D10 Sports All D10 Selection, Region 3 First Team selection, Region 3 Player of the Year, Erie Times News District 10 First Team Selection

College Athletics plan if applicable: Yes, my dream is to play college basketball.

Q&A With Hope Garrity

               

D9and10Sports: How did you first get involved in sports and did you like it?
A: My parents both played college basketball so I was introduced to the sport at a very young age and have loved it ever since.

D9and10Sports: Who has been your biggest influence in life and why?
A: My parents because they have had such a positive influence on my life, they always believe in me, and push me to be my best every day.

D9and10Sports: What is your favorite high school sports memory?
A: Winning the D10 championship at home and cutting down the nets. Also being able to be part of the first D10 title for Fairview girls basketball.

D9and10Sports: What is your favorite social media platform and why?
A: Snapchat. It’s a quick way of being able to talk to my friends.

D9and10Sports: What would someone who is meeting you for the first time be surprised to find out about you?
A: I don’t like to wear socks.

D9and10Sports: If there was one period in history you could go back to, what would it be and why?
A: I would go back 25 years from now when my grandmother and grandfather were alive. I heard so many great stories about them. I know I would have learned so much from them and they would have been such a positive influence in my life.

D9and10Sports: What will you tell your kids someday about living through the COVID-19 pandemic?
A: I would tell them that the world was forced into a slower pace and it helped me realize even more how important family is and the time we spend together.

D9and10Sports: What is your ideal place to live? Country, City, Suburb and why?
A: Country or Suburb because it’s not as busy and crazy as city life.
