Q&A With Gavin Murdock

D9and10Sports: How did you first get involved in sports and did you like it?
A: I always had tons of energy to burn whether it was me playing Tee-Ball or flag football or even just playing backyard sports with my family and I absolutely loved it.

D9and10Sports: Who has been your biggest influence in life and why?
A: My dad has been the biggest influence in my life for the sole reason that he would never let me back down, never let me give up, and never doubt me, he has been behind me supporting me for my whole sports career in every sport and every season. There has not been a game, match, or event that my dad has missed no matter the distance no matter if it took out of what he was doing with work or if he was supposed to be doing something else. He always puts me first and that is why he will forever be my number one biggest influence in my life.

D9and10Sports: What is your favorite high school sports memory?
A: My favorite high school sports memory was when we blew out our rival school and I put up 441 yards and 4 touchdowns and then got awarded Player of The Game.

D9and10Sports: What is your favorite social media platform and why?
A: My favorite social media is Instagram because it is easy to look through, I can learn things and there is a wide variety of things on the platform.

D9and10Sports: What would someone who is meeting you for the first time be surprised to find out about you?
A: That I like traveling around the country and I have visited lots of national parks.

D9and10Sports: If there was one period in history you could go back to, what would it be and why?
A: I would go back and try to fix all of the regrets I’ve had in life and/or sports.

D9and10Sports: What will you tell your kids someday about living through the COVID-19 pandemic?
A: I would tell my kids that times get tough like Covid but you always have to push through no matter the circumstances.

D9and10Sports: What is your ideal place to live? Country, City, Suburb and why?
A: My ideal place to live would be kind of like a mix between suburbs and country so I would love to have lots of land but also would like to be decently close to stores and such.
