2021-22 D9and10Sports Preseason All-District 9 Boys’ Basketball Team Powered By Hunter’s Station Golf Club

WARREN, Pa. – The 2021-22 District 9 preseason All-District boys’ basketball team powered by Hunter’s Station Golf Club features a talented collection of players including a pair of players set to break the 1,000-point barrier early in the season.

The team is headlined by the Redbank Valley duo of Bryson Bain and Chris Marshall and includes five players who were All-District 9 powered by All American Awards & Engraving a season ago.

Marshall, a senior, enters the 2021-22 season with 953 career points after averaging 17.3 points per game a year ago to go with 6.4 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 3.1 steals per game. He also blocked 17 shots and hit 43 3-pointers while being named third-team All-District 9.

Bain, also a senior, comes into the season with 945 career points and averaged 18.6 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 2.3 steals per game a year ago with hitting 53 3-pointers. He was a second-team All-District 9 choice in 2021.

Three additional seniors and a junior join Marshall and Bain in garnering preseason honors.

Clearfield junior Cole Miller was a second-team All-District 9 selection after averaging 14.7 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 steal per game for the District 9 Class 4A champion Bison. He has scored 542 career points.

Griffin Ruhlman, a senior, was a key part of Brookville’s run to the PIAA Class 3A title game a year ago averaging 9.3 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.2 steals, 1.0 assists, and 0.2 blocks per game while shooting 50.3 percent from the field. He was a third-team All-District 9 selection.

DuBois Central Catholic senior Alec Srock nearly averaged a double-double last season for the Cardinals scoring 13.3 points per game while bringing down 9.0 rebounds per contest. He also added 1.6 blocks, 1.4 steals, and 1.2 assists per game nad shot 62 percent from the field while being named a third-team All-District 9 performer.

Domenic Allegretto is the engine that runs the offense for Ridgway. As the Elkers senior point guard, Allegretto is coming off a season that saw him average 7.3 points per game while directing an offense that helped Ridgway reach the District 9 Class 2A semifinals.
