Keys to the season:
- Going into my second season, One issue we as a program have is the constant revolving door of underclassmen playing one season and not the next, this type of action is detrimental to our goal of turning this program around.
- It will take time for us to gel as one. Everyone needs to play with confidence, we are going to make mistakes, learn from them and move on.
- PATIENCE in all areas, pass up a good shot to get your teammate a great shot, make the extra pass.
- BELIEVE in each other and what we want to do as a team!!!
Things your team was doing during the COVID-19 pause of winter sports: I’ve communicated with my captain Lily Lauffenburger on occasion. When you lose your offseason due to COVID, especially when you’re trying to bring a new culture to a struggling program it’s detrimental. This game is tuff to play, it’s a year-round commitment. I’m extremely proud of my team. I think they’ve handled this entire Covid situation the best that they could have given the circumstances.
