Elk County Catholic Lady Crusaders

Head coach: Ken Pistner

2019-20 Record: 16-12

Playoffs: Beat Union, 51-33, in D9 1A quarterfinals before losing to North Clarion, 62-47, in the semifinals, and beating Otto-Eldred, 46-41, in the consolation game. Lost to Tussey Mountain, 41-32, in the first round of the PIAA playoffs.

Top returning players: Julia Aikens (Sr., G, 4.8 ppg), Tami Geci (Jr., G, 6.6 ppg), Brooke Bauer (Sr., F, 6.1 ppg)

                                      

Top players lost: Taylor Newton (16.9 ppg, 12.3 rpg), Elli Fledderman (1.9 ppg)

Key newcomers: Tori Newton (Fr., F), Sydney Alexander (Fr., F), Lucy Klawuhn (Fr. G). All three are playing varsity this year and will add size and athleticism to this year’s team.

Keys to the season: Developing our younger players to give us depth so we are able to play the style of basketball we want to play.

Things your team is doing during the COVID-19 pause of winter sports: We are staying connected as a team through virtual meetings. Staying in shape and game preparation will be challenges, as there will be limited practices and a potential heavy game schedule.
