Key newcomers: Jaylin McGill – F- Junior- strong, tenacious rebounder and defender, runs the floor; Carly Richter – G – Junior- good outside shooter; Ella Gallo – G -Sophomore – incredibly fast, good defender, point guard; Chelsey Freyermuth – G/F – Sophomore, very intelligent player, knack for getting the rebound, excellent passer; Shelby McBryar – G – Freshman, talented offensive player, can shoot the ball.

Keys to the season: 1. Dominate the boards; 2. Play fast – run teams off the floor; 3. More efficient offense – got a lot of shots up last year but didn’t shoot a good percentage; 4. Tough, physical, disciplined full court press for 32 minutes

Things your team is doing during the COVID-19 pause of winter sports: We got one week of practice in before we were shut down. We had to wear masks while we practiced. The girls were amazing with this. They did what they needed to do to play. We send out group messages to the team encouraging them and staying positive. Two keys when we return: 1. have an attitude of gratitude. We lost several weeks of our season. If we come in ready to hit the ground running, stay coachable and put in the effort we will be fine. We need to remember that this is a privilege to play this game. And we cannot take it lightly. 2. Conditioning- we are behind the eight ball having been shut down since Thanksgiving.
