Head coach: Gus Simpson

2019-20 Record: 8-14

Playoffs: No playoffs

Top players lost: Abby Simpson (1.8 ppg), Sarah Acree (20 games played, 20 points)

Key newcomers: Alyssa Wiant (Fr., F – She is a strong player and is a student of the game. She is a smart player), Lexi Coul (Fr., G – She is a quick player. She will add speed to our team. She is small but fast), Alex Leadbetter (Fr., G – She is another quick player who sees the floor very well)

Keys to the season: Finding out how our older experience plays with our freshman, how long that takes. In order for us to be successful, those younger girls need to get caught up to speed and play with the older girls. In this environment with the masks, you are going to have to use more players and do different things, especially on defense when you may have to play defenses you wouldn’t always have to play.

Things your team was doing during the COVID-19 pause of winter sports: We did a couple of Zoom meetings to stay in touch. We had five practices before the shutdown at Thanksgiving but then didn’t do anything until Jan. 3. We also weren’t able to do anything over the summer. It was quite the dry spell.
