2020-21 Brookville Girls’ Basketball Preview Powered by Potter County Family Campground

Alayna Haight, Jr., Forward

Brookville Lady Raiders

Head coach: Mark Powell

2019-20 Record: 12-12

This year: 0-2

How things got started: The Lady Raiders traveled for a doubleheader at Penns Manor before the shutdown back on Dec. 11 and dropped games to Berlin (54-27) and Penns Manor (74-31).

Top returning players: Juniors Alayna Haight (3.4 ppg.), who scored 20 points in the first two games, Elizabeth Wondering (19 games, 31 points), Jordan Cook (15 games) and Elisa Molnar (12 games).

Top players lost: The Lady Raiders lost most of their experience and scoring, almost 90 percent, to graduation, so it’s a new start. Gone are All-District players in Marcy Schindler and Lauren Hergert, along with Morgan and Madison Johnson, and other graduated seniors Brooke Ganoe, Leah Kammerdeiner and Kira Powell.

Key newcomers: On a senior-less roster, junior forward Ella Zimmerman started in the first two games. Sophomore Reggan Olson, who saw a few varsity minutes last year, is the lone sophomore on the roster. From there, it’s a group of freshmen vying for varsity time, led by Eden Wonderling, Kerstyn Davie and Hannah Lundgren.
